TNA – Scott Steiner out 6 months.

Scott Steiner, 45, could be out anywhere from four to six months after undergoing surgery to repair a fully-torn ACL in his knee.

Dr. James Andrews performed the procedure in Birmingham, Alabama this afternoon.

He originally suffered the injury during his main event title match with Samoa Joe and Kaz at last month’s Sacrifice pay-per-view event.

Steiner had an MRI following the pay-per-view, but the test results was inconclusive due to the amount of swelling. Steiner continued to wrestle through the injury, competing on an episode of Impact as well as some TNA house shows over the past weeks. He even competed in a match at a house show this past Sunday night in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Steiner didn’t realize how serious his injury was until his visit to Dr. James Andrews earlier today. Steiner was scheduled to have his knee scoped out, but Andrews discovered a tear, which was repaired by him a short while later.

WWE – Jim Ross almost quits!

from Jim Ross’s blog:

As many of you know, I was “drafted” to Smackdown Monday night in the “random lottery”. Obviously that means I will be leaving Monday Night Raw and my long time partner Jerry Lawler.

I am not happy about this surprise development.

I also contemplated calling it a career Monday night and not going to Houston to tape SD.

After speaking with my wife and thinking on this matter until 6 a.m. Tuesday morning, I have decided to do the right thing for the fans who care and the talent who care and begin my new assignment.

It has been explained to me that the WWE’s Smackdown tenure on My Network is a high priority within the corporation. Allegedly, my presence is needed in that effort.

Many are speculating about when I learned of this development…the same time those of you were watching at home. I should have detected something with the demeanor of certain individuals either thru their plastic, poker faces or the perceived smirk that I thought I might have seen on some of their faces during the day.

As far as going to Connecticut each week to do Smackdown post production, that’s not going to happen. Either Mick Foley can handle it or the WWE can install a DSL line in my home to facilitate the work.

WWE – Melina’s Ankle Injury Legit

While it seemed to play right into the storyline regarding the announcers switch, Melina suffered a legitimate ankle injury tonight on Raw during the Divas tag match. On the Raw homepage they wrote: “On Raw, Melina severely injured her ankle during a tag encounter with her fellow Divas.” The WWE site posted a video of medics tending to her ankle injury backstage, which was heavily bandaged. The video shows a close-up of Melina’s swollen ankle, proving that the injury is legit.

Edge comes out to interrupt him. He tells Triple H that they can get both get along. Hunter disagrees by saying that both have too big of egos and that Edge won’t have the World Championship after Sunday’s Night of Champions pay-per-view.

Huge pop for Finlay & Hornswoggle. The match was pretty much one sided throughout and Finlay & Hornswoggle take the win. The Miz & John Morrison stand on the entrance ramp with their belts.

I’m told this was a pretty decent match throughout. Lots of holds and counter holds. Edge wins with a spear after several near falls. Lots of crowd heat on Edge.

* Batista vs. Umaga
Umaga has control early on. The match moves slowly. Zack Ryder & Kurt Hawkins come running out while Edge grabs his belt. La Familia beat Umaga.

Triple H comes out and helps Batista clean house.  Pedigree and Batista Bomb on Zack Ryder & Kurt Hawkins.

Batista grabs the mic and said at first he was upset about the Draft. Triple H then told him he was going to do good on Raw. SmackDown goes off the air.

Random Transformers 2 news.

from L.A. Rag Mag:

Megan Fox spills Transformers 2 secrets.

Megan’s told by the director to “just look sexy.”

So she stands there and tries really hard.

Literally, this is what she said, and that’s why we love Megan.

“You know, we’ve been having script meetings, and we’ve been reworking the script, because they wrote it fast because of the writer’s strike,” she explained. “And, we’ve just been going through and trying to do some character stuff for Shia and myself in the middle of this crazy world that they’re in.”

“I can tell you that we’re on locations in some really exotic places,” she added. “It’s just going to be a badass movie. It’s just going to be a popcorn-visual-spectacle, summer film.”

“His (Director Michael Bay’s) main note to me is just to look hot; so I try my best.”

You always give us what we want Megs! Sexy BEECH!
