TNA – Scott Steiner out 6 months.

Scott Steiner, 45, could be out anywhere from four to six months after undergoing surgery to repair a fully-torn ACL in his knee.

Dr. James Andrews performed the procedure in Birmingham, Alabama this afternoon.

He originally suffered the injury during his main event title match with Samoa Joe and Kaz at last month’s Sacrifice pay-per-view event.

Steiner had an MRI following the pay-per-view, but the test results was inconclusive due to the amount of swelling. Steiner continued to wrestle through the injury, competing on an episode of Impact as well as some TNA house shows over the past weeks. He even competed in a match at a house show this past Sunday night in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Steiner didn’t realize how serious his injury was until his visit to Dr. James Andrews earlier today. Steiner was scheduled to have his knee scoped out, but Andrews discovered a tear, which was repaired by him a short while later.
